SONIHULL

The Sonihull ultrasonic antifouling system by NRG Marine uses the latest digital electronics and ultrasonic transducer technology. This system works by producing bursts of ultrasonic energy in multiple frequencies, the energy creates a pattern of alternating positive and negative pressure. Microscopic bubbles are created from the negative pressure, while the positive pressure implodes them forming vapor cavities known as cavitation. The result of the implosion is a micro jet action that creates a cleaning effect on the hulls surface below the waterline. It also resonates and destroys single cell organisms such as algae. Removing the initial link in the food chain prevents barnacles and other marine life to feed on the algae.

SONIHULL MONO

The Sonihull Mono is a ultrasonic antifouling system for yachts up to 32 feet in length. Each transducer is powered by a dedicated signal generator, offering a continual signal to all transducers. Transducers and their cable connections are rated for submerged operations. Transducers have no exposed metal. AC/DC power option defaulting to AC. Automatic shut off in Low Voltage DC power situation to protect batteries. Remote system status monitor. Manufactured “In House” for the best possible quality control. Virtually undetectable to the human ear with no need for a “sleep switch”. Sonihull Ulstrasonic Antifouling System offers superior performance and reliability with a combination of features not offered by any competitor. This environmentally friendly system does not introduce metals or chemicals to the environment. You’ll encounter less frequent haul outs and cleaning thus making this system very cost effective. Increase efficiency by saving fuel when motoring and faster speeds when sailing. Easy installation with no hull penetration required. Automatic voltage selection between AC and DC, defaults to AC when shore power connected.

SONIHULL DUO

The Sonihull Duo is a ultrasonic antifouling system for yachts up to 55 feet in length. SONIHULL8

The Sonihull8 is the latest addition to NRG Marine’s Sonihull range of ultrasonic anti-fouling technology. Sonihull’s fit-and-forget systems prevent marine organisms from colonizing solid surfaces that are exposed to raw seawater

With eight independent and programmable outputs, Sonihull8 can protect every part of your vessel or structure from marine fouling with no through hulls. Unlike biocidal coatings and impressed-current systems, Sonihull8 is low cost and low maintenance, with zero poisonous environmental impacts. With one panel and eight transducers, Sonihull8 has all of your equipment covered.

Disrupting this first link in the food chain keeps the surface clean and makes it a much less inviting habitat for larger organisms that feed on the algae. The microscopic movement of water also prevents barnacle and mussel larvae from embedding on the surface.
